Third Tech Release of 2026 Includes Stronger Support for Annuities & Structured
Investments

BERWYN, Pa., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Envestnet, the leading Adaptive WealthTech company, today announced a series of additional enhancements to Envestnet | MoneyGuide designed to help financial advisors meet more complex, real-world financial planning needs. The updates – part of Envestnet’s third technology release of 2026 (R3 2026) – aim to give advisors a platform that grows with the complexity of their clients’ lives, so they can spend less time reconciling data and more time guiding the decisions that shape clients’ financial futures.

“This tech release reflects the everyday realities that advisors must navigate with their clients, from evolving account structures to more nuanced tax situations. Financial planning is no longer a single point-in-time exercise; it’s an ongoing, dynamic conversation between advisors and clients,” said Matt Wilson, Head of Business Strategy for Envestnet | MoneyGuide. “The ongoing investments we make in our planning engine – in how we model increasingly sophisticated account types, how we calculate tax outcomes, and how we present results – are about making sure we at MoneyGuide can keep pace with that shift.”

Annuity & Structured Investment Support

This release adds more account types into the MoneyGuide ecosystem, allowing more detailed information to be included in planning calculations:

  • Deferred Income Annuities (DIA): Allows fixed returns during accumulation years and future annuitization details to be incorporated.
  • Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA): Allows participation rate, maximum return, and minimum return details to be considered.
  • Registered Index-Linked Annuities (RILA): Allows participation rate, protection, maximum return, and minimum return details to be entered by term and occurrence.
  • Structured Investments: Allows participation rate, protection, maximum return, and minimum return details to be entered by term and occurrence. When applicable, these accounts will also include an optional income rider.

Investment Assets Modernization

As part of the R3 release, the Investment Assets section in MoneyGuide has been modernized to improve the user experience and simplify manual account entry.

  • Streamlined Account Entry: The process for entering accounts as either a total value, or by holding, has been consolidated – creating a cleaner and more streamlined workflow.
  • Enhanced Summary Accounts: The Summary Accounts section has also been strengthened, so users can continue maintaining multiple accounts in summary form until additional details are available. This provides a faster and easier way to enter, edit, and manage accounts during the planning process.

Support Center Modernization

  • Modernized Navigation: MoneyGuide’s Support Center now offers a more streamlined experience, making it easier to find and use support resources. Quickly access product-specific training, onboarding materials, and practice management resources that help you deliver planning advice to clients.

Additional updates include:

Long-Term Care Analysis Enhancements

  • Long-Term Care Analysis now makes Cost of Care assumptions easier to display, search, and select. Users can search a new database by the client’s ZIP code or city, creating a more efficient way to apply cost-of-care assumptions.

Planning-First Integration Enhancements Across the Tamarac Platform

  • Planning Data Across the Platform: MoneyGuide plan data now reaches advisors and clients inside the Tamarac platform, extending planning insight into the systems where portfolio work already happens. A new MoneyGuide dashboard and a MoneyGuide Summary tab on the client record bring net worth, asset allocation, and plan summary detail into the advisor’s day-to-day view, with a path from summary into deeper analysis in the same workflow.
  • Connecting Planning and Reporting: On the client side, MoneyGuide Wealth Studios is now available as a data source for Net Worth pages and widgets in the Tamarac Client Portal, combining planning insight with platform reporting data so clients see a more complete financial picture.
  • Deeper Visibility into Financial Life: Advanced ownership views break out assets and liabilities in and out of estate and by individual owner, and Net Worth and Success widgets can link directly through to Wealth Studios pages for clients who want the detail behind the number.

Wealth Studios Enhancements

  • New Tax Planning Results: Wealth Studios Lifestyle Studio now includes a new series of views and reports focused on tax planning and tax results. These updates make the underlying tax engine and its calculations easier to access and understand, while presenting the information in a more client-friendly format.
  • User Experience Improvements: Lifestyle Studio and Legacy Studio have been enhanced to improve the overall user experience. Updates to the Wealth Studios interface and navigation provide more space for live views, make comparison data easier to access, and support a smoother planning conversation across Lifestyle and Legacy Studios.
  • Discounting Options for Gift and Trust Strategies: Discounting for gifts and transfers has been expanded beyond the present FLP and IDGT structures, making it easier to model discounted gifts and funding strategies.
